Harris® 3AH tool steel is used to weld AISI A2 - A6 air-hardening tool steels. Best used where abrasion resistance if required. Typical applications are cold extrusion, blanketing and draw dies, construction equipment, farm machinery, mining equipment. The part should be pre-heated to as high a temperature as is consistent with the final hardness requirements. Yields a deposited hardness of RC 55-60.
