DETAILS
Quicksilver is an economical brazing filler metal primarily used to braze copper-to-copper. It can also be used to braze copper-to-brass. It is self-fluxing on copper, but requires the use of Safety-Silv White (or Black) Brazing Flux when brazing brass. Quicksilver is fluid at liquidus temperature with recommended joint clearance below 0.005. Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive.
Features
- Economical brazing filler metal
- Brazes copper-to-copper and copper-to-brass
- Self-fluxing on copper but requires appropriate flux when brazing brass
- Recommended joint clearance below 0.005"
- Not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
- Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive
- Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Quicksilver™, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
- Not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
- Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive
