DETAILS
4130 is a high strength, low alloy, MIG (GMAW) chromium-molybdenum steel used to weld alloys of similar composition. Formulated to reduce weld metal hot cracking with good ductility. Particularly suited to thin, highly stressed joints. Uses S.A.E. 4130 procedure in heat treatment. Use with a pre-heat and inter-pass temperature of 400°F min. (204°C min.).
