DETAILS

Harris® 99 is a general purpose, nickel-iron TIG (GTAW) welding alloy (AC-DC) for production, salvage and repair of all cast irons.

Features

  • General purpose nickel TIG (GTAW) welding rod
  • Produces clean, strong, ductile deposits
  • Yields smooth, even bead contours
  • 70,000 psi maximum tensile strength (as welded)
  • 80,000 psi maximum yield strength (as welded)
  • 18% min. elongation (as welded)
  • AC or DC reverse or straight polarity
  • pre-heat heavy sections to approximately 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) for best results
  • Used for building-up, cladding and joining cast iron to steel
