1100 Aluminum TIG (GTAW)

1100 aluminum TIG (GTAW) welding alloys are one of the most common and widely used alloys. They have excellent forming properties, are soft and ductile with low strength. These alloys can be shaped into many different products used in chemical equipment, food handling equipment, heat exchangers, utensils, sheet metal, rivets and giftware. Provides excellent corrosion resistance. 1100 is non-magnetic, weldable, and not heat treatable. Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.10,

Traits

• Commercially pure aluminum at 99% minimum
• Soft and ductile for intricate forming applications
• Excellent welding characteristics and is slow to harden
• Superior corrosion resistance
• Good thermal conductivity
• 1100 is non-magnetic, weldable and not heat treatable
• Not ideal for applications requiring high strength or hardness
• Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.10
• TIG rods are marked with model number on each end for easy identification after use
