Academic researchers at Iowa State’s Virtual Reality Applications Center conducted a series of research projects designed to determine the effectiveness of virtual reality welding training on student outcomes. The researchers concluded virtual reality training, when blended with traditional training, can speed technique development and enhance certification rates.
