309L Stainless Steel GMAW (MIG) Welding Alloy

309L stainless steel GMAW (MIG) welding alloy has similar usage as 309, but the 0.03% maximum carbon content increases resistance to intergranular corrosion. Used for welding similar alloys in wrought or cast form. Occasionally used for welding 18-8 base metals when severe corrosion conditions exist, and, at times, welding dissimilar steels. Conforms to AWS A5.9. Packaged for portable welding machines. Conveniently packaged for point-of-purchase display.

• 85 HRB Rockwell B hardness (as welded)
• 160 HB Brinell hardness (as welded)
• 105 ft./lb. @ room temperature Charpy V (as welded)
• Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.9 & ASME SFA 5.9 ER 309L
