ER90S-B3 low alloy steel GTAW (TIG) for welding 2 1/4" chromium-molybdenum steels used in high pressure piping and pressure vessels. Also, used for joining dissimilar combinations of chromium-molybdenum and carbon steels. Conforms to AWS 5.28, ER90S-B3.
Features
- General purpose GTAW (TIG) welding rod for chromium and molybdenum low-alloy steel
- For welding 2-1/4” Cr - 1 Mo Steels used for high pressure piping and pressure vessels
- Also used for joining dissimilar combinations of Cr-Mo and carbon steels
- Control pre-heat, inter-pass and post heat to avoid cracking
- Use with pre-heat and inter-pass temperature of 375◦F min. (191◦C min.)
- Often used in high temperature and high-pressure piping vessels
- Conforms to AISI/AWS A5.28 & ASME SFA 5.28 ER 90S-B3
- Marked with model number on each end for easy identification after use
